چکیده
Abstract Poultry industry is expanding rapidly and producing million tons of feather waste annually. Massive production keratinaceous byproducts in the form industrial wastes throughout world necessitates its justified utilization. Chemical treatment keratin proclaimed as an eco-destructive approach by various researchers since it generates secondary pollutants. Keratinase released a variety microbes (bacteria fungi) can be used for effective waste. Microbial degradation emerging eco-friendly offers dual benefits, i.e., recalcitrant pollutant (keratin) procurement commercially important enzyme (keratinase). This study involves isolation, characterization, potential utility fungal species chicken-feather through submerged solid-state fermentation. The isolated fungus was identified characterized Aspergillus (A.) flavus. In trial 30 days, appeared that 74 8% weight reduced sub-merged fermentation, respectively A. pH growth media fermentation changed from 4.8 to 8.35. exploited application keratinolytic is, therefore, recommended achieve benefits remediation.

متن کاملEvaluation of Ca-Independent a-Amylase Production by Bacillus sp. KR-8104 in Submerged and Solid State Fermentation Systems
This study investigates the production of crude Ca-independent and low pH active α-amylase by Bacillussp. KR-8104 in submerged fermentation (SmF) and solid-state fermentation (SSF) systems. Differentparameters were evaluated in each system using “one factor at a time” approach to improve the production ofenzyme. The results showed that in the SmF the maximum enzyme production ...
متن کاملEnzyme Activities and Substrate Degradation by Fungal Isolates on Cassava Waste During Solid State Fermentation
The growth and bioconversion potential of selected strains growing on cassava waste substrate during solid state fermentation were assessed. Rhizopus stolonifer showed the highest and the fastest utilization of starch and cellulose in the cassava waste substrate. It showed 70% starch utilization and 81% cellulose utilization within eight days. The release of reducing sugars indicating the subst...
متن کاملBioconversion and Enzymatic Activities of Neurospora Sitophila Grown Under Solid State and Submerged Fermentation on Sago Hamps (RESEARCH NOTE)
N.sitophila was grown under controlled conditions of solid state and submerged fermentation on Sago hampas. The optimum conditions of protein enrichment previously established for sugar beet pulp was used for this study. Under this condition the protein content of Sago hampas under solid state increased from 1.4 to 14.45% (W/W) whereas for Sago hampas and Sago starch, the protein content under ...
متن کاملProduction of cellulose by Aspergillus niger under submerged and solid state fermentation using coir waste as a substrate
Aspergillus niger was used for cellulase production in submerged (SmF) and solid state fermentation (SSF). The maximum production of cellulase was obtained after 72 h of incubation in SSF and 96 h in Smf. The CMCase and FPase activities recorded in SSF were 8.89 and 3.56 U per g of dry mycelial bran (DBM), respectively. Where as in Smf the CMase & FPase activities were found to be 3.29 and 2.3 ...
